Tiivistelmä:A field experiment in which 198 employees in an underwriting department of an insurance company were temporarily reassigned to offices of higher, lower or equal-status coworkers, while their own offices were renovated to test the equity theory hypothesis that temporary office status would increase, decrease or have no change in organizational outcome levels. Method: subjects, design, procedure and results: manipulation checks, preliminary analyses, questionnaire measures, implications, limitations and future research directions. Two Tables and a Figure illustrate the study.
