| Tiivistelmä: | Analyzed are the reasons for the development of venture capital as a new source of finance. Structural economic problems, which are confronting the traditional industrial countries nowadays, require technological innovation as an important means in competing with the new industrialized countries. Innovation, however, needs a suitable source of finance, which companies with high-risk cannot raise from conventional funding resources. In additional, explained are the most important characteristics of venture capital. |
