| Tiivistelmä: | At a MIDEM conference in Cannes in late January Polygram Music Video announced the possible delay of launching CDV till September. Polygram wants enough software in 5-,8-,12-inch formats. In Europe there is no installed base of hardware to build CDV market on. The preliminary stage requires $2-3 million to meet the requirements of the PAL standard. Besides, Philips has to coordinate marketing plans for hardware and the three software formats. |
