| Tiivistelmä: | The U.S. will be a member of the Berne Convention. President Reagan is to sign the treaty on Nov.7 in Los Angeles. The treaty will change U.S. copyright law. A work can be published without a notice of copyright, and still the authors have the copyright. But the owner of foreign works could not sue without being registered with the U.S. copyright office. Civil penalties for copyright infringement have been doubled. |
