Now the Soviet songwriters who recently collaborated with U.S. composers in Moscow will get a proportion of the Western royalties from the resultant album under agreements they have signed with VAAP. This step shows the desire to conform to international copyright practices. They are looking to the U.S. for guidance and information. VAAP is lobbying to have the Soviet Union adhere to the Berne Convention. |
