| Tiivistelmä: | The article presents the debate in industrial economics on innovation. The discussion is based on the model of integrated product life cycle. The perspective of this model is found to be too narrow, leaving out important types and risks of innovation. Even firm-level R+D was not investigated enough in German-speaking countries. Further effort in this area is indispensable. |
