| Tiivistelmä: | This paper argues that it is fair to hold manufacturers responsible for compensating injured consumers in preventable defect cases even when the manufacturers have not been negligent, but all attempts to establish the fairness of compensation in nonpreventable defect cases considered here are unsuccessful. Therehore the analysis supports the claim that it is fair to apply the doctrine of strict product liability to manufacturers in preventable defect cases. |
