Tiivistelmä:This paper aims at exploring the effects of cultural, political, and social values on consumers' ethical beliefs as to questionable consumption behaviours. The examined variables include cultural orientation, status anxiety, social Darwinism perception, and perceived trust of people. Based on a field survey in Taiwan, it is shown among others that consumers with low ethical beliefs have higher perception of social Darwinism and status anxiety than consumers possess neutral and high ethical beliefs etc.
