| Tiivistelmä: | Modern, dynamic logistics concepts require efficient modules which can easily be combined with one another. The high-level storage system, which has been successful for many years, will fulfill all the future requirements. Nevertheless, there are many less known variants of this system that can be also attractive. Terminology such as "high" and "storage facility" are losing their meaning and should be replaced by characteristics such a "dynamism", "capability for integration", "single and multi-place systems". The most important characteristics are sketched and their meaning is outlined. |
