| Tiivistelmä: | The authors of the article provide a short overview of the trends in a world economy in last years. They answer the question is the recovery still on track and state that the world economy has proved remarkably resilient following the terrorist atrocities of 11 September. But recently doubts have grown about the durability of the upturn and there is a danger troubled financial markets will undermine recovery. But, while there are clear downside risks, the authors still believe a 'V' shaped recovery is most likely, with world GDP growth climbing to 1.9% this year and 3.1% in 2003, after stagnating at the end of 2001. The article considers the topic of weaken of dollar and US economy. |
