| Tiivistelmä: | There is a quality criteria that is unique to television. The audience expects that the tv-specific means are used in all kinds of programmes to the full. If a programme does not give the audience the feeling of audio-visually experiencing the story live, then it falls short of the spectator's expectations. This is where the television differs from other media like radio and the newspapers. TV has to live up to the standards of authentity and "this could be true" -feeling. Other media may be stronger in fields where more space is left to the imagination. |
