| Tiivistelmä: | The aim of this paper is to give an overall account of the Turkish economy during 1980-2000. The growth performance of the economy is presented in the next section. The external balance and foreign trade developments are reported in the third section. The fiscal position and domestic debt dynamics are reviewed in the fourth section. And finally, after a detailed overview of the Turkish banking sector in the fift section, a conlusion is made. |
