Tiivistelmä:The values of public service broadcasting and the need for commercial broadcasting have become accepted by all main social forces, including the parties represented in parlia- ment. Three years after the start of transition process in Hungary theory and practice do not necessarily match in media-politics, several disagreements especially concerning broadcasting policy and law cannot be overshadowed by a general acceptance of the market as the adeguate regulatory mechanism in the field of media.
