| Tiivistelmä: | The market size in terms of consumer spending on furniture was at current prices 4.32bn pounds sterling in 1991. That sum was equivalent to 1.2% of total consumer expenditure. Wooden furniture continues to dominate the production of domestic furniture. metal and plastic furniture accounts for only 2-3% of the total value of output. Imported furniture accounts for about a quarter of annual domestic furniture consumption. The domestic producers are in the grip of a severe recession. Detailed statistics on consumer spending on furniture, production, foreign trade and product sectors are presented. |
