Tiivistelmä: | This report covers the market for eggs, which was last reviewed in Retail Business No 385, March 1990. The report examines the retail market and excludes all eggs that are used in the food processing and catering sectors. Most eggs produced for retail consumption in the U.K. are produced by the battery system but under EU regulations this does not have to be stated. EU standards apply to other systems, which are free range, perchery (barn eggs), deep litter and semi-intensive. All eggs bearing these names must meet the required standards. |
