Tiivistelmä:Charles Handy was interviewed in his London home by EMJ's editor, Paul Stonham, on his current ideas and thinking concerning work and organisations. He has achieved a wide readership for his books and articles, especially for his two most recent books , The Empty Raincoat and Beyond Certainty. The thrust of his social philosophy is to under- stand and manage the implication for society of the dramatic changes which technology and economics are bringing to the workplace and peoples' lives. He gives his views on the 'cult' of efficiency in organisations, the search for higher ethical standards in business, on excessive executive remunerations, and the importance of trust in organisations. As an author and self-confessed 'story-teller', he gladly uses methaphors and 'low-definition' concepts in his writing, and likes 'weaving spells with words'.
