| Tiivistelmä: | Sales of camcorders amounted to 345,000 units, valued at 210 mn pounds, in 1995. In 1996 unit sales fell by 3 percent to 335,000 units, but with some trading up to high-band formants and a discernible impact from sales of the new DVC format, very small in number but high in average price, market value rose to 220 mn pounds. Sales volume has now been broadly static for the last three years. This period of stability follows a sharp decline between 1992 and 1994. |
