| Tiivistelmä: | This report examines the market for bed linen. As in most home furnishings/household textiles markets purchase is strong influenced by house moves. Consequently, since the onset of the recession the market has been somewhat depressed with the collapse of the housing market taking its toll. In 1997 the housing market is reported to be picking up, although it is patchy in regional terms. As the economy and disposable incomes pick up consumers have more to spend on the home. A more positive attitude is being encouraged by the home interest press and fashion is once again influencing purchase. |
