Tiivistelmä: | Using a comparative case study approach, this paper explores how two small Italian food producers manage their knowledge (henceforth as: knwl). The focus of the first company is mainly on marketing, while the second's focus is on the technology knwl. domain (herein as: k-d). This paper presents examples of how companies can successfully manage organizational knwl. based on their relative k-d. It is argued that not only k-d. but also innovation behaviour seem to be the contingencies mostly impacting on knowledge management (KM) system features. In terms of KM, the different combinations of the two variables have totally different requirements. |
