| Tiivistelmä: | To encourage idea people, managers must fine tune their strategy for handling creative employees. Innovativeness fluorishes in an ambiance of participative leadership. Innovative managers provide appropriate challenges, support, idea sources, and rewards. The creative process is described. The characteristics of an innovative corporate culture are examined. The transition from a corporate culture which endorses conformity to one that fosters creativity is discussed. Some of the necessary qualities af an innovation oriented supervisor are listed. Six techniques for encouraging creativity are described: identification of innovative employees, fostering an innovative environment, providing challenges, support, and rewards. |
