| Tiivistelmä: | U.K. government has refused to grant 3 million pounds over 3 years to BBC, which is to launch a world satellite TV news service. To cover the transmission costs to far-off Commonwealth countries BBC turned to Foreign Office.The refusal has not put off BBC as it has other potential partners and advertising revenue is also considered.It has done 8 million pound worth of business by selling the planned 30 minute bulletins for relay purposes. |
