| Tiivistelmä: | AT and T tries to create and strengthen its leading position in the world market of information technology. This aspiration can't be realized without building up a firm position in European market. One of the most important country of destination is the FRG. A joint venture with the computer manufacturer NCR has been formed. The AT and T Network Systems Deutschland GmbH in Bonn has been founded. This developed telephone contact from Frankfurt to the USA and communication services such as Electronic Mail, Electronic Document Interchange. It is shown that participation in European communication network development and the expansion of communication services through strategic alliances are also needed for global competitiveness. |
