| Tiivistelmä: | The barriers to re-employment for unemployed job seekers are analyzed using duration models applied to Dutch data. The determinants included in the duration models are derived from an economic model of the different stages of the job search process. The findings show that age and non-labour income have a significantly negative impact on the re-employment probability of the unemployed job seekers. The rate at which unemployed job seekers find a new job is decomposed into the application rate and the probability of receiving an actual job offer if an application is made. |
