Tiivistelmä:During 1991, approximately 500 employee relations cases at Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico, were analyzed to determine the focus of employee and management concerns. The result? More than 45 percent of the cases involved conflict in the area of work relationships, including such issues as job expectations, employee performance deficiencies, management style, personality clashes, communication problems and role definition. In response, the HR function developed a dual advocacy mediation program that gives each employee a mediator. It has markedly reduced tensions.
