| Tiivistelmä: | In a multilevel manufacturing system the master production schedule is used as input to the requirement planning system. The output of the requirements planning system generates purchase and shop orders (lot sizes). But, the most simple product structures can easily lead to complications in manufacturing efficacy. In this study, a comprehensive experiment is designed to determine the effect of product structure complexity and lot sizing decisions on total systems cost and customer service level in a variety of capacitated inventory storage environments. |
