| Tiivistelmä: | The lack of access to financial services is considered one of the major constraints to increasing investments and productive activities in the rural sector of LDCs. The reasons for the inadequate investment financing and other financial services to the sector are many and varied. Underlying the various reasons for the poor and inadequate delivery of financial services and/or lack of interest particularly of formal finance in the rural areas is the relatively high level of risk of providing services to the sector. |
