| Tiivistelmä: | This paper deals with the underresearched question of who chooses between business firms and markets and on what basis. In the article it is argued that even though the question of why firms exist has been studied a lot, the roles of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial choice have only received little research attention. The paper also argues that resource owners have a crucial role what it comes to running a successful business and organizing resources properly. Resource owners need to be properly motivated and coordinated on the entrepreneurs' conception of the business. In conclusion, the article claims that the problem of cognitive coordination is central for understanding why entrepreneurial firms exist. |
