| Tiivistelmä: | The media has often got the criticism from the fact that the media coverage lacks the scientific perspective of risks. The purpose of this article is to create a new model how to better the reporting of risks in the medium. The content analysis from two real cases, the universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) base stations and fine particle pollution (FPP) has been used for the creation of the model. As well a wide group of expert journalists, scientists and shareholders has been consulted. The model specifies concrete instructions for the sources, frames, data and language whereby the risks should be reported. |
