| Tiivistelmä: | The article suggests there will likely be shortages of business faculty due to retirement of faculty and growth in business education, and thus there is a growing need for PhD professors. A new type of doctoral programme that seeks to utilize both American and European approaches in PhD education is introduced. Furthermore, the differences in European and American PhD education are discussed. |
