| Tiivistelmä: | The study aims to find out if entrepreneurs have single or multiple motives for founding, and if non-economic or economic motives are more important, and finally if male and female entrepreneurs are similarly motivated. The results are based on personal interviews with 35 men and 34 women. It became clear that both genders have multiple founding motives, and non- economic motives are very important for them, though economic motives can't be neglected. Women are less concerned with making money. |
