Tiivistelmä: | A large scale body of survey data is used to investigate the proposition that reported management perceptions of the extent to which unions act as a constraint on organizational change will vary systematically according to certain personal and job-related characteristics of the respondents. A number of hypotheses are put forward and tested in relation to this basic proposition. A brief, critical summary of supporting evidence of attitudinal based response is presented. The basic framework of analysis is described. The most important variables are discussed. A number of implications for survey work seeking attitudinal based responses of different managerial groups are set out. |
