| Tiivistelmä: | Effective use of human resources is defined as the effective use of employees' knowledge, skills and talents. It is insisted on the point that effective use of people will depend upon human resources manager's abilities to: recognize the increasing diversity of workers; provide opportunities for worker participation in decision making; design jobs to meet worker needs for personal growth; match worker skills with job requirements; design and allocate work to better match changes in the business environment with changes in the work force composition. Based on demographic data it is set forth that more people will retire and more will retire earlier. This trend will require companies to prepare for sufficient funding of pension plans. |
