Tiivistelmä:The ability to handle conflicts successfully is one of the most important dimensions of human behaviour in a company. After comparing the positive and negative consequences of organizational conflicts, the phases of conflict management are explained. An effective procedural approach to conflict resolution is suggested. Ten phases are identified in a model process (perception, delimiting and defining a conflict; decision on the handling of conflict; mutual attitude changes; decision on elaborating a solution of one's own or taking it from outside; handling emotional issues and exploring needs; developing a solution; reinforcing the results).
