| Tiivistelmä: | After Hong Kong's return to the motherland, its status as an international financial centre is meeting new challenges. Hong Kong must continue to maintain its existing monetary and financial systems and at the same time, establish the basic financial relationship of "one country, two currencies, two monetary systems and two authorities of financial supervision and management" under the basic principle of "one country, two systems". The monetary authorities of the mainland and Hong Kong should promote the active and healthy financial development of both areas through all directional, multi-level financial co-operation and enhance Hong Kong's status an international financial centre. |
