| Tiivistelmä: | Hunan province has an duty for the development of Pudong area and the co-ordinated development in the Yangtze River valley, which, however will certainly promote and bring along the vigorous economic growth of Hunan. Starting from an overall and long-run angles, this paper studies the following issues: 1. chances and challenges. The development of Pudong area has provided the provinces and cities in the Yangtze River valley with both new chances for economic development and new challenges, 2. the status and function of Hunan in the Yangtze River economic belt, 3. the strategic ideas on Hunan's participating in the development of Pudong area and the Yangtze River and the key points in this line. |
