| Tiivistelmä: | The author summarises today´s governmental and non-governmental policy initiaves and the utility of concepts such as capability and absorptive capacity, which are positioned within generic-staged models of capability maturity. The main focus of the paper is to describe the development process of a technology capability assesment/audit tool, which has been planned to assist locate firms within four archetypes based upon their level of maturity on nine key dimensions of the management of technology. The authors describe the utilizement of this tool in field experiments along with the implications for policy making. |
