Tiivistelmä:Branch planning is a procedure which is influenced by various factors as the potential of a bank, the market, the competition, the local socioeconomic and real estate conditions. An effort is presented that has been made to integrate these factors into a simple mathematical model.It is described how decentralized marketing and regional analysis support the above effort with updated information. It is suggested that the branch network planning presented is a tedious and time consuming work as well as dynamic process which needs constant adaptation to an ever changing environment.
