Tiivistelmä:This report focuses on the German market for entertainment software. The bulk of the study focuses on pre-recorded music, which comprises sales of compact discs (CDs), records (both 33rpm "long players" and 45 rpm "singles") and pre-recorded audio cassettes. Sales of blank audio cassettes are also discussed together with blank video tapes and pre-recorded video cassettes. The relatively new market of video games is also covered. Following reunification, Euromonitor has decided to focus this report, where possible, on both the new and old German states.
