| Tiivistelmä: | This report highlights the key trends and considers the German market for four categories of white goods used in the kitchen: cooking appliances, refrigeration appliances, laundry appliances and dishwashers. Following reunification, the focus of Euromonitor German studies has now become east and west Germany. Data, although sketchy at the start of the review period 1992-1996 , are now readily available and the majority of tables refer to the unified state. The prevailing atmosphere of economic unease throughout the review period has restricted the market growth for large kithcen appliances. There has been a general fall in prices due to increasing competition and structural shift in demand to appliances in lower price brands. |
