| Tiivistelmä: | The conflict potential between monetary and financial policy is one of the well known subjects of economic policy. In an effort to examine the relation of the two policies the author analyzes their roles and effects. Special attention is given to estimation of the effects of consolidation of the state budget, problems of indicators of monetary policy, and structural deficits. It is argued that the recent recession cannot be explained by oil shocks, it was rathera consequence of monetary and financial policies. Ways are investigated in which the conflict between monetary and financial policy can be prevented. |
