| Tiivistelmä: | This analysis specifies a series of cross-cultural and psychological dynamics that must be considered when we study transitions in the psychological contract, arguing that we need to appraise the contracting literature and reconsider some basic questions if we are to consider the psychological contract in a cross-cultural context. It first considers the broad implications of current empirical data on the state of the psychological contract in the United Kingdom and then considers the cross-cultural and societal context for change in the contract within Europe. |
