| Tiivistelmä: | This position paper has arisen from a general concept in the education profession regarding the names given to master level programs within Europe. The changing environment with extensive reforms in some countries gave rise to an increasing concern on positioning degrees, reading internationally. The MBA guidelines produced by EQUAL in year 1999 are a first attempt to clarify the MBA concept. Since then the need became apparent for clarification in all segments of the management development field. This paper is an attempt to offer clarification that is widely acceptable. It results from though consultation with EQUIS accredited schools, the inputs of an ad-hoc working party, through discussions at the efmd 2000 annual conference and with considerable input from EQUAL, which has given initial approval to this text. |
