| Tiivistelmä: | A plant breakdown insurer hesitates to compensate for the writing down of installations during the reconstruction. On this occasion the principal idea of plant breakdown insurance is analyzed from economic standpoint. This insurance has the purpose of covering ceased cash flow. This is also clearly laid out in calculation methods issued by Austrian insurance companies. Since the economic depreciation of machinery is faster than its technical depreciation, amortization rate is obviously part of the cash flow, and therefore part of the damages covered by this insurance. |
