| Tiivistelmä: | Since the insurance system for the personnel awaiting job assignments was established, by the end of 1994, the city's accumulated registered unemployed personnel had reached 11.826. In the same period, among the said unemployed, 9.002 persons got new jobs and 92.20% of them looked for jobs by themselves. Among the employed, there were 2200 persons who worked in the state-owned or collectively-owned enterprises, 490 who accepted posts in foreign-funded enterprises, 1314 who were engaged in individually-run or privately-run business, 4471 who were temporary workers and 519 who abandoned employment due to going abroad, studying or doing housework, accounting for 24.4%, 5.5%, 14.6% and 49.7% of the total employed respectively. |
