| Tiivistelmä: | By the end of Feb.,1999, there were 326,942 approved foreign funded enterprises across the country with contracted foreign investment totalling US$ 578.036 billion, of which US$ 271.661 billion had been actually used. The situation of ten Asian countries' (regions) investment in China took a favorable turn. The newly approved contracted foreign investment in the period from Jan. to Feb. was up 15.9% over the same period of last year. EU's investment in China is continuing to grow. In the same period, the newly approved projects reached 131. America's and Canada's investment in China have set a new record. Additional 326 American and Canadian-funded enterprises were approved in the period from Jan. to Feb., up 19% over the same period of last year. |
