| Tiivistelmä: | In terms of environmental trade, both America and China and great potential for developing environmental trade. In 1980 China and America signed the protocol in sci-tech cooperation for environmental protection. In recent years, both countries' leaders exchanging visits have made Sino-American cooperation in environmental trade reach a new level. The cooperative project on urban air quality supervision, started after President Clinton visited China last year has made good progress. During the period of visit by US Environmental protection Bureau, 12 cooperative projects were put forward. Both sides explore the issue concerning controlling environmental pollution by using economic means and market mechanism and also reached aconsensus on "Sino-American Cooperative Action for Environmental Protection Plan." |
