Tiivistelmä:The article examines four Danish companies over a 10-year-period to determine what kind of human resource management practices multinational companies companies pursue in their subsidiaries due to differing local industrial relations. The results indicate that multinational did not directly try to interfere with local industrial relations. Nevertheless, the managers could use their management prerogative in a way that differed from the traditional Northern European industrial relations, and thus influence the cooperation between employees and employers.
