Tiivistelmä:Recently, attention has focused on sectoral concern with assessment and feedback (henceforth as: f-b.) as a result of the National Student Survey. Government, the higher education agencies and the National Union of Students (NUS) have called for urgent action of addressing this concern. This paper examines the existing student f-b. data to identify (i) how students' perceptions of assessment and f-b. have changed over time and (ii) the main concerns of students and institutions and (iii) what action has been taken by institutions to increase satisfaction. From the data, there are several main concerns. F-b. is valued by students as it is reassuring as an indication of their progress and that it should be timely. Institutions having used the Student Satisfaction Approach are concerned to clarify their processes to students, to increase their own efficiency, to monitor and to review their assessment and f-b. regimes and to share good practice, both internally and externally. Action taken as a result of listening to the student voice results in increased satisfaction, possibly taking several years, though.
