| Tiivistelmä: | This paper discusses the role of codes of ethics as institutionalized organizational structures extending legitimacy to organizations. First, the study reviews legitimacy theories and analyzes how legitimacy is derived from codes of ethics. The study suggests that the strategic creation of codes of ethics has become an institutionalized practice. That distances codes from their moral foundation, study argues. |
