| Tiivistelmä: | The authors argue that there are inherent contradictions between development and sustainability in terms of scarcity,ownership and inter-generational justice. Through a cost benefit analysis and the ideas in game theories,they point out two preferences of two categories of countries with regard to the problem and explain the rationality that the developed countries transfer costs to the developing ones. At the same time, they emphasize that such transfer itself is not sufficient to promote global sustainable development. As to the solution of the contradiction, they think it a new idea that sustainable development should be practiced on different levels. |
